Welcome to Earth Month at Huha. As you know, we care about sustainability. A lot.
From the fibers we use to how we package, market, and distribute our products, we also consider the impact – on our bodies, minds, and of course, the planet.
Internally, we also look at sustainability from a holistic approach, and we tend to make decisions by asking ourselves: is it sustainable?
One tree planted for every purchase
For the entire month of April, we are planting one tree for every purchase. Our goal is to plant 5,000 trees this month.
We're excited to be working with Tree Era to be plant a Mangrove tree to represent each of your orders this month.
What does that mean? 100 trees will be enough to approximately sequester 18,500 pounds of carbon from our atmosphere. This is also enough trees to:
🌿 offset 1,015,000 smart phone charges
🌿 3573 litres of gasoline
🌿 a year’s worth of electricity for 2 homes!
Compostable and biodegradable mailers are here
In addition, we are launching our compostable, biodegradable and reusable mailers this month. They are made of corn fibers and are certified Industrial compostable (EN13432).
The EN13432 certification ensures that:
- Biodegradability in controlled composting conditions with at least 90% of the organic material converted into CO2 within 6 months
- After 3 months’ composting, no more than 10% remains
Where industrial composting is not available, the bag will also biodegrade in the regular trash.
Shop here in April and plant one tree with every purchase.
