We're celebrating a big milestone here at Huha...
Last week, we hosted a Dragon's Den Watch Party for their 20th anniversary episode... where Huha was featured for securing the biggest deal in Dragon's Den history.
It was such a memorable event celebrating the collaborators, mentors, team members, and community (that's you!) who have helped make this all happen. It was important to Alexa that we honor our journey and where we came from—that's why the tagline was: To the moon... and back.
It was incredible to reflect on how far we've come in just a few short years. Beginning with a clear vision and viral Kickstarter campaign, to the initial offers from not one, but three Dragons, to the final investment (and huge vote of confidence) from Arlene Dickinson and District Ventures Capital.
We hosted the evening at The Reel Room just a few blocks from our Vancouver headquarters, and invited our local team, long-time supporters, friends, and family.
Thank you to Nude Beverages, Cabron Cocktails, and SmartSweets for providing refreshments. We were also lucky to have some of our favorite District Venture Capital brands stock goodie bags for our guests—including Balzac's Coffee Roasters, Three Farmers Foods, Graydon Skincare, Tilted Barn Pet Co, and Chickapea Pasta.
While we wish we could have had each and every one of you there, we wanted to give you the chance to win a goodie bag too. (Congrats to Giannina Perez—the winner of our Instagram giveaway!)
So, what does this all mean?
Huha is growing and evolving—now with the support of some very experienced and trusted mentors. But there's a lot that will stay the same.
